John Taylor is a Publications Manager at BSRIA, the independent industry organisation promoting knowledge and providing specialist services for construction and building services stakeholders. He has over 20 years’ experience in the built environment, covering building services design, energy management, carbon management, retrofit and building optimisation. At BSRIA he is using his experience implementing smart building technology to author guides on building control and optimisation, while also working with experts from across the built environment to develop the wide range of BSRIA publications.  

BSRIA produces detailed industry best practice guidance to support everyone involved with building services, from design through to construction, commissioning, handover and ongoing maintenance. Our mission is making buildings better.  Topics range from 'introductions' for non-engineers or those new to the industry, to detailed learning for specialist construction and engineering.
