Jonathan is a Chartered Security Professional and a member of the Register of Security Engineers and Specialists, bringing over 25 years of experience in the security industry. He holds BTEC Level 6 and Level 5 qualifications in Security Management, alongside a professional certification in Technical Security.

Recognised for his contributions to the field, Jonathan was awarded the 2023 OSPA Outstanding Security Consultant Award and was a finalist again in 2024. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Security Institute’s Built Environment Special Interest Group, where he champions the integration of security into the design process.

Jonathan specialises in designing out crime, technical security design, and project delivery across ASIAD, BREEAM, and RIBA stages. He is currently leading security design and compliance efforts on major terminal refurbishment projects across five UK airports, with a focus on future government security requirements and ASIAD compliance.

A regular contributor to industry publications, Jonathan also presented at Greenwich University on “The Security Overlay: RIBA Plan of Work,” reinforcing his commitment to knowledge sharing and professional development within the sector.
