Jonathan Kendall

Partner/Director of Urban Design, Fletcher Priest Architects

Jonathan Kendall is Partner and Director of Urban Design at Fletcher Priest Architects. He has overall responsibility for masterplanning and urban design projects within the practice. He is an architect by training and is registered in the UK and Latvia.

He has worked on numerous high-profile, large scale urban projects from initial concept stages through to the successful award of planning permissions and beyond. For more than a decade, he led the masterplan of Stratford City, one of Europe’s largest regeneration projects, which sits at the heart of the London Olympic Park and where a residential district formed the 2012 Athletes Village. Jonathan has led projects across Europe, the Middle East and beyond. Current projects include the design of a new town north of Cambridge at Waterbeach and a new urban district with a life sciences focus redefining the northern edge of Oxford.

In parallel with his role at Fletcher Priest, Jonathan is Associate Professor at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, where his research is focused on urbanism and interdisciplinary practice. He has spoken at lectures and conferences around the world and has published widely.
