Karen Jefford is CEO Elect at Building Heroes she has a unique combination of experience in the third sector, business, and education. For the last four years Karen has been working with the military community providing pathways for second careers within the construction industry. Over 2,000 military personnel have been trained in her operating model, and Karen believes hiring from the military makes complete business sense. Recognition of achievement came this year with the honour of receiving the Queens Award for Enterprise, acknowledging the successful work to transition people into working lives.
