Karl is Senior Project Manager at Currie & Brown. He previously worked for Mace, where he helped setup the company’s LGBT+ network (Pride at Mace), acted as co-chair and a member of the steering committee; he also sat on Mace’s EDI working group, contributing to EDI policy and strategy. In his time with Pride at Mace, Karl led a series of events with other employee networks exploring and celebrating intersectionality, organised social events for network members, presented to colleagues on LGBT+ inclusion, and produced the network newsletter. Karl recently learned that he is autistic (self-diagnosed) and is seeking a formal assessment. Whilst early on in his journey, he is passionate about raising awareness about neurodiversity, better understanding what being autistic means, and helping others on their journey.

Statement:

Inclusion is more complex than a single identity. Karl is passionate about raising awareness of the intersection between different groups and the value that diversity has at both individual and industry levels.
