Kath Moore has 30 years experience of working in the construction industry.She is a qualified carpenter, who has worked on site, ran her own business, and taught carpentry. She was instrumental in setting up and delivering the Women Into Construction project on the Olympic Park, and following thesuccess of this project, developed Women Into Construction (WIC), a community interest company supporting women wishing to work in the construction and infrastructure industries. WIC works across London and the West-Midlands, and has trained 1,500 women, brokering over 700 of these into paid employment. WIC is now working in partnership with Crossrail, Tideway and HS2, to increase gender diversity on these and other projects. Kath believes passionately in encouraging and supporting women to participate and build careers in these exciting, rewarding, and well-paid industries. In 2018 Kath received an MBE for services to the construction industry.
