Kelly Whitton

Head of Built Heritage , Blenheim Palace
Kelly is a RIBA chartered architect and Head of Built Heritage for the Blenheim Palace Heritage Foundation. She is currently developing a 15 year strategy to achieve an ambitious goal to deliver over £40milllion of urgent restoration within the World Heritage Site. In the last 18 months Kelly has led the largest inland lake dredge in the UK, returning the lake back to its original Capability Brown designed profile, completed the Orangery roof; a major turning point in the climatic adaptation of significant heritage sites, and is in the middle of developing the largest project Blenheim has ever undertaken; the £10m reroofing, incorporating major painting conservation, of the Great Hall.  Prior to joining Blenheim, Kelly worked for the Government of St Helena, a remote overseas territory in the South Atlantic, delivering a £30million UK Government funded capital works programme, including a new port within a highly sensitive, historic, and culturally significant site.
