Project Manager, GoodPeople

I'm a project manager at GoodPeople working to help deliver place-based impact programmes, including projects working on S106 delivery, green skills, and local employment. These projects allow me to work closely with different communities and helps facilitate meaningful impact and change in response to the issues real people face.

Hiring diverse talent gives construction firms the opportunity to tackle local labour market challenges and increase the productivity of their workforce. Talent pools are becoming increasingly diverse, so teams who are not focussing on diversity and inclusion within their recruitment and training are missing out on a huge proportion of skilled workers. Plus, it’s no secret that diverse workforce drives higher innovation within teams, and with the rise of green skills needs across all trades, this innovation will be essential to the construction industry.
