Liam leads sustainability for Sheppard Robson, focusing on environmental analysis and strategic direction. He champions project and practice initiatives including sustainability surgeries, evidence-based design guidance, internal workshops, training, and ISO 14001 accreditation.

His engineering background has enabled him to develop a robust, evidence-based approach to sustainability across all project aspects—from energy-efficiency measures and reducing embodied carbon to creating human-scale communities that respond thoughtfully to local climate conditions. Liam collaborates closely with clients and stakeholders to foster a sense of shared stewardship for each project, exploring how co-creation processes can strengthen community bonds.

Beyond his core responsibilities, Liam is co-founder and steering group member of BEF: Built Environment for the Future—a network of emerging professionals across the sector amplifying young voices and promoting collaboration for sustainable futures. He also contributes to research promoting UK indigenous stone within architecture and advocates for the wider adoption of natural materials that deliver measurable environmental benefits.
