Mark Harrison joined CIOB as their first Head of EDI Transformation in January 2021, reporting directly to CEO Caroline Gumble. Since that time, Mark has launched the CIOB D&I Charter for built environment employers with 180+ signatories to date; established the CIOB’s international EDI Conference and their first annual EDI Awards. Mark was also one of the initiators of the ground-breaking partnership with other built environment membership institutes (ICE, RIBA, RICS, RTPI, LI) on promoting EDI in the sector. In total, Mark has 15 years’ experience in lead EDI roles in the built environment, charity, and higher education sectors.
