Mark Tant
Mark Tant first joined the Wates Group in 2015 after a distinguished career that saw him appointed to his first managing director role at just 32.
Before joining Wates Construction to lead its residential division, Mark spent almost 30 years at Willmott Dixon where he rose to Managing Director before taking the same role at Shepherd Constriction prior to it being acquired by Wates in 2015.
During his spell as Managing Director for Wates Residential London, Mark helped drive a huge expansion of the division, quadrupling turnover from £40m to £170m and securing a number of new blue-chip clients including Quintain and Anthology.
During this period Wates was also awarded its largest ever construction contract worth £161.5m for a project to deliver 633 new homes at Wembley Park while also securing a £76m contract to build the tallest building ever constructed by Wates at that point, a 32-storey apartment block on Greenwich Peninsula in London.
In 2019 Mark was appointed to the newly created role of Managing Director of Wates Construction where he now has responsibility for the regional business units within the Wates Construction Group.
With an Msc in Construction Management, Mark has a keen focus on improving the overall efficiency of the construction process and has overseen significant advances in the integration of the procurement, design and operational delivery aspects of all Wates projects.
