As Whole-Life Carbon Reduction and Transformation Lead for Laing O’Rourke, Martha leads the Carbon Solutions Team in championing and strengthening our efforts towards decarbonising the built environment. Starting with our people, we work with our project teams, designers, LCA consultants, digital engineers and clients to upskill people so that they have the ability and confidence to tackle carbon reduction within their sphere of influence. We are developing and implementing the processes and digital tools necessary to ensure our projects can measure, manage, report and reduce whole life carbon with a consistent and transparent approach.

Martha has a background as a chartered mechanical engineer having worked previously developing water and low carbon energy infrastructure for Arup before joining LOR in January 2023. She is passionate about driving the low carbon transition and excited about the opportunities that data and digital tools can bring in accelerating progress towards net zero.
