Matthew is a Chartered Construction Manager with over 20 years’ experience within the construction, asset management and surveying industries.

As Head of Building Safety, Technical and Delivery at Clarion Housing Group, Matthew has developed the company’s approach to external wall systems including the intrusive investigations and subsequent cladding remediation, leading the teams that procure, organise and oversee all aspects of the works. He also leads on implementing Clarion’s Golden Thread - establishing data requirements, digitising their existing HRBs and implementing systems and processes to meet the requirements of the Building Safety Act.

With the mantra ‘an informed client is a good client’ he is passionate about supporting those around him to develop professionally as well as looking to innovation to drive improvement, not just for his teams but for the industry as a whole.
