Melissa Collaro
'Melissa Collaro is an internationally experienced designer and founder of Melissa Collaro Design, with over 15 years of work across Italy and the UK. She delivers end-to-end project support across residential and commercial spaces. Trained in architecture between Milan, Genoa and London, including The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL), her work is shaped by a strong international perspective. She has contributed to urban regeneration initiatives, including projects with Renzo Piano's Genova Urban Lab, and developed a requalification proposal for the Port of Genoa, shortlisted as a finalist by the Genoa City Council. She has also collaborated with luxury brands including Chanel, Etro, Michael Kors and Max Mara. A multiple award winner, Melissa was named Women in Construction Ambassador at London Build Expo 2024 and 2025. Her design philosophy is rooted in a contemporary Made in Italy approach, combining craftsmanship, timeless proportions and bold use of colour, to create spaces that enhance how people live, feel and connect to place. She is a RIBA Associate Member and a BIID Member, and actively promotes architecture and design through education and industry engagement.
