Passionate and a strong advocate of sustainability, a major focus of Michela’s current work is leading Wates Residential, Developer & Contractor, Strategic approach to sustainability, delivering on the Group ESG commitments, which are supported by short- & long-term SBTi targets. Previously, she developed and led Mount Anvil’s first ESG Strategy at both corporate and project level, and covered a nationwide role at Stride Treglown, as Head of NZC & Passivhaus, advising a wide range of public and private clients on sustainability and overseeing the carbon aspect of projects across sectors. Michela is an Architect, with specialisms in Passivhaus Design from the Passivhaus Institut and Sustainable Building Design from MIT, she sits on the LETI steering group, is a member of The Edge, a contributor to UKGBC [current: NZ Forum - Non-domestic Retrofit] and the NLA [current: Circular Economy SIG] and is a RIBA mentor.
