Principal Digital Engineer, Laing O'Rourke

Mohamed is a digital engineering and construction leader who held various innovative roles, from the client side to design, manufacture, and construction. He is a specialist in digital transformation, information management, and BIM implementation, focusing on people, process, and technology to deliver the best strategic outcomes at the organisational and project/programme levels.

At Laing O’Rourke, he leads the digital strategy of R&D projects based on the principles of design for manufacturing and assembly and modern construction methods, in addition to leading the productivity initiatives across Laing O’Rourke’s design centres with the main focus on collaboration, standardisation, automation, and data analysis. Prior to Laing O'Rourke, he was responsible for building digital teams, developing company-wide BIM and information management standards, and leading the digital delivery of iconic projects and programmes in the UK and internationally, such as the Forge for Landsec and the Prison Estate Transformation Programme for the Ministry of Justice.
