Monika Slowikowska was born in Poland where she started at the age of 18 her career in advertising and enrolled to Thames Valley University, where she studied Marketing. Following 7 successful year in Advertising, mostly spent in McCann Erickson, where she was the youngest ever Account Manager Worldwide and run the 5th and 7th biggest advertising budgets in the country, she moved to London. Starting from scratch with poor English she changed the life from high-fly advertising executive to administrative role in Structural Engineering firm. This was followed by roles with small and large Contractors, where she had an opportunity to work on large project like Victoria Park Plaza Hotel and Riverbank Hotel as a Procurement Manager and over the years leant how to be Assistant of Project Manager. The next position taking 3 years was with large property developers where in addition to the previously mentioned tasks she assisted with the legal side of property purchase and planning permission obtaining on large building. However, the main activity was to Assistant Project Manager various construction jobs from 9 flats to 186 flats projects.
8 years of working in the Construction Industry in London coincided with the relocation to London of her brother, who sold his business in Poland. Being prompted by him, she started working for him in the Construction Company. What meant to be a small activity soon turned to quite a large operation with millions turnover and almost 50 people working for the company in various roles.
5 years of being a Managing Director in her brother’s company has proven to be the most challenging and rewarding activity in her life. Unfortunately the relationship with the brother wasn’t great and the need to leave the company in order to maintain the high standard she wanted to keep became apparent. In May 2012 she started her own company Noble Houses Developments Ltd later renamed to Golden Houses Developments Ltd where the quality and standard were kept.
Since the commencement of the works the company have completed over 40 projects and have over 180 staff. The clients reach Golden Houses Developments Ltd only from recommendation and such is due to the professionalism and quality delivered. The company negotiate its projects working for the regular clientele.
Monika has built as well 30,000sq ft Joinery Factory, which serves Company’s projects and external joinery packages.
The firm was as well invited to construct one of the projects for George Clarke’s programme Ugly House, which was featured in Channel 4 in March 2016.

What the UK's construction industry is saying about London Build..
It was our first time as an exhibitor and London Build Expo did not disappoint. It proved to be both exciting and productive. Looking forward to next year.
Certainly the best Expo I’ve been to with regards to meeting the desired audience!
London Build 2018 was our first year as exhibitors & we thoroughly enjoyed it. The show had plenty of interaction and interest!
London Build is a busy and vibrant expo bringing together large to small players in architecture, interior design, building, construction and refurbishment. I would recommend it as both an exhibitor and as a visitor.
We attended as a visitor for the first time last year and were impressed enough to rebook for this year. The standard of visitors that came to the stand was really good and the variety of roles from MD’s to electricians was excellent and some meaningful conversations took place, we met people that we would not have been able to access during a normal working week. It was a well organised event, very easy for the exhibitor and a really good atmosphere throughout, I would recommend that anyone who visited with a view to taking stand space in 2019 should go for it.
I would wholeheartedly recommend exhibiting at London Build.
We had a great time exhibiting at this year’s show. We met a real mix of individuals and companies, collected some valuable leads and found it an excellent platform to showcase our new fire safe building wrap material to the market.
A very well organised exhibition. From the initial booking of our stand, design, social media coverage and logistics; London Build 2018 was a breeze to organise and exhibit at. The layout of the floorplan was very clear and enabled exhibitors to find stands they were interested in and engage with exhibitors. We certainly made a lot of new contacts and would recommend London Build!
London Build is THE construction show for London. A must attend
