Neil Howsam

Neil Howsam is an architect and founder of HowsamDesign with more than twenty years’ experience of delivering award-winning design across architecture, interiors and workplace. HowsamDesign was founded to pursue design that resonates. Driven by natural curiosity and a belief in the positive agency of design, the studio brings together intellectual rigour and architectural judgement to tell stories, curate spaces and enrich the human experience.

Neil’s work spans large-scale residential-led urban development, new-build workplaces, deep retrofits and occupier fit-outs. He has extensive experience navigating complex planning environments in London and across the UK. His approach combines design leadership with a deep understanding of the technical, environmental and commercial considerations that shape development. He is particularly interested in how spaces accommodate change, from the evolving needs of individuals and organisations to the long-term renewal of place. Through HowsamDesign, he explores how thoughtful adaptation and lasting design quality can create enduring economic, social and architectural value.
