Pamela McInroy joined High Speed Two in September 2017 as an Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Manager: Operation & Design, where her role is to embed diversity and inclusion at site level through a health and safety lens. Further, to work with the Inclusive Design Manager to ensure we have safe and accessible stations and rolling stock for our diverse passengers and users.
After completing her degree in Women’s Studies, Pamela worked on international projects in Canada, Brazil, South Africa and most recently a three year work placement focusing on the challenges of diversity in the work place in Seoul, South Korea.
Returning to the UK six years ago, Pamela started working in the health and safety team at Crossrail where she pioneered the approach to “inclusive health and safety” focusing on the diversity of a construction site and it’s factors in health and safety. Along with being committed to the Safe at Heart programme, one which works to eliminate all work place accidents and issues to workplace health, she is dedicated to humanitarian, social and political issues.
