After 30+ years in engineering and construction with several high-profile positions Paula has gained Chartered Fellowships for the ICE and CMI. Paula currently works for Sir Robert McAlpine doing her dream job where she helps staff with their professionally qualifications and manages the Social Value for her project. Paula is passionate about inspiring the next generation and the need for a more sustainable future for all. Paula is an active member of several groups who promote construction and engineering. Amongst them is being the ICE North East Chair and Panel Chair for the flagship international publication ICE Proceedings: Civil Engineering. Paula is multi award winning including the 2020 European WICEAward Lifetime in Engineering Award winner and a WES WE50 Current and Former Apprentice. Paula believes that we can all be Role Models and encourages everyone, particularly those in minority groups, to support young people in whatever way they can.
