Will has worked in the smoke control industry for over 35 years. He is directly involved in the development of product safety standards and is the current chair of BSI’s FSH/025 committee for smoke control, convenor of European Standards working groups for smoke ventilation control panels and power supplies and actively participates in several industry groups.

The introduction of the Office for Product Safety and Standards and the Building Safety Act has thrown product certification, compliance, and competence into the spotlight. Will is working with industry stakeholders through the BIM4Housing initiative to improve information management to provide practical solutions to meet the requirements of a digital golden thread.

Will is the Group Managing Director of SE Controls, specialist manufacturers and installers of Intelligent actuators and controls that form the operational backbone of smoke control systems.
