Peter is a senior government advisor on Building Regulations and led the technical team developing the Future Homes and Buildings Standards. As Head of Energy and Environmental Standards at DLUHC, Peter also led the department’s work on ventilation, overheating and electric vehicle charging in the Building Regulations. Peter currently works for the Building Safety Regulator providing independent advice to Government on the safety and standard of buildings. His team at the BSR are responsible for the oversight and development of all Building Regulations technical guidance and standards relating to energy, indoor environment, building services and architectural design.
