Renee Searle

Founding Director, Threefold Architects

Renée Searle is a founding director of Threefold Architects and an RIBA Chartered Architect with over 20 years’ experience shaping London’s housing and neighbourhoods. Her work focuses on delivering innovative, high-quality, and sustainable homes through a deep understanding of urban context, viability, design excellence, and placemaking.

Renée has led major mixed-use and housing schemes across boroughs including Haringey, Croydon, Harrow and Barking & Dagenham. Her expertise extends to alternative residential models such as build-to-rent, student housing, micro homes, and co-living, offering valuable perspectives on how these can contribute to meeting housing demand and shape public realm. A collaborative leader and big-picture thinker, she brings strategic insight into the future of city living and placemaking.

Beyond practice, Renée contributes to the wider built environment discourse as a member of the OPDC, Ealing and Bromley Design Review Panels, and as a regular AJ Awards judge. She teaches and lectures on sustainable housing at UCL, UAL and Syracuse University, and leads Threefold’s EDI and mentoring initiatives promoting inclusivity, opportunity, and environmental responsibility across the profession.
