Richard has over 19 years' experience within the construction industry, specialising in façades and insulated render systems and their application to buildings of all types and construction methods, with particular reference to fire resilience and remediation of existing buildings.

Having worked primarily as a technical specialist within manufacturing and distribution in such diverse sectors as steel, concrete, insulation and render, Richard has developed a wealth of material and design knowledge. In conjunction with the product development, testing and certification experience that has accompanied such roles, he has a broad understanding of how materials interact and behave in a construction environment.

Richard is Managing Director of PartB Technical Services, and is responsible for a wide ranging service provision including Forensic Surveying, Fire Testing, Certification and Specialist Fire Engineering services. He holds a MEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Concrete Technology.
