Richard Huntley has over 20 years of experience in the fire safety industry, having worked for the Loss Prevention Council, Nullifire Ltd, BRE and Arup Fire. Richard joined Mace in 2012 as a Project Manager and he is now Mace’s Fire Safety Lead.
Having achieved an honours degree in Fire Engineering from Leeds University, Richard gained experience of practical product testing and development leading into product application and inspection. Using his background and experience, Richard moved into fire engineering design and now application of fire safety and fire engineering across the construction, consultancy and facilities management businesses within Mace Group.
As Fire Safety Lead within the Health, Safety and Wellbeing function at Mace Group Richard is responsible for developing fire safety standards and training, providing on-site inspections and audits, advising on fire strategies for construction projects and assisting business fire safety awareness.
As a member of the Institute of Fire Engineers, Richard looks to apply his experience in the construction industry by raising fire safety awareness and highlighting its importance for life safety and property protection.
