Ruby Bunker
I joined Tilbury Douglas in 2024 as Social Value Coordinator for Regional Building and Fit-Out across London and the Southeast. My role focuses on delivering client, framework and internal social value commitments; ensuring our projects create meaningful impact alongside the buildings we deliver. As much of Tilbury Douglas' work is public sector and framework-led, I work closely with key clients, including the Department for Education and the Ministry of Justice, to achieve ambitious social value outcomes. I am passionate about ensuring our projects leave a lasting positive legacy for local communities and the environment, extending far beyond the ‘on site’ phase.
Social value continues to play an increasingly important role in securing new work and a key part of my role is to work with our bid team to develop tender responses. Furthermore, through my involvement with our Employee-Led Networks, I actively champion diversity, equity and inclusion to help to raise awareness, encourage meaningful conversations and promote a more inclusive culture across the business.
Alongside my current role, I am completing an apprenticeship as a Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner. Additionally, I am a member of both the Institute of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (ICRS) and Social Value UK, enabling me to continue developing my knowledge and stay at the forefront of industry trends.
I also hold a degree in Psychology from the University of Greenwich and previously completed a graduate scheme with Equans, where I discovered my passion for social value and sustainability. During my time there, I also gained experience within the Learning & Development and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) teams, providing me with a strong foundation for a career that brings together community engagement, DE&I and sustainability.
