After studying History of Art and Architecture at the Universty of East Anglia, Sarah worked as design assistant to the writer and interior designer Mary Gilliatt. In 1986 Sarah set up Decibel Designs where she has worked on residential and commercial projects including art galleries, colleges, an ambassadorial residence, offices and many houses and apartments in both town and country internationally and in the UK. She is a Registered Member of the British Institute of Interior Design where she sits on the assessment panels for membership and for continual professional development (CPD) seminars.
Sarah is interested in the re-use of materials and sustainable methods of construction combined with a love of colour and working in tandem with artist-designer-makers, whether straight out of college or more established names. For more information please visit www.decibeldesigns.co.uk.
