Sophie Bevington
Sophie Bevington is the Head of H&S at Mace Consult for UK, Europe and the Americas. Sophie works with leaders, clients and project teams to embed health & safety into decision-making, project delivery and organisational culture. She is passionate about creating environments where people feel empowered to speak up, learn from experience and take ownership of safety at every level.
With experience supporting major infrastructure and built environment programmes around the world, Sophie helps organisations move beyond compliance by developing leadership capability, strengthening assurance and creating the conditions for high-performing teams. Her work focuses on the belief that health and safety success is driven not only by systems and processes, but by visible leadership, positive behaviours and a culture where people are valued and heard.
Sophie was shortlisted at the Inspiring Women In Construction and Engineering (IWICE) Awards 2024 for 'Insirational leader' category aimed at women in leadership positions in engineering or construction consultants who have used their positions to inspire and engage the workforce and improve outcomes for customers and their business. Sophie is a strong advocate for improving industry performance through collaboration, sharing best practice and promoting healthier, safer workplaces across the industry.
