Head of Fire, Balfour Beatty
Steve commenced his career as an operational fire fighter in Kent before becoming a Senior Officer in Kent Fire And Rescue and the eventual Deputy Chief Fire Officer in Auckland New Zealand.

During his career he attended a number of nationally significant incidents including playing a key Incident Commander role at the 2011 Christchurch earthquake.

Having served the community for 30 years, Steve became the Head of Fire Safety at Heathrow and is now the Head of Fire for one of the UK’s largest construction company. Steve has a 38 year career in protecting the public, fire safety and fire safety management.
