Svetlana Joao is a structural engineer at TYPSA, working on the HS2 Project and an ICE President Future Leader 2022-2023. She is in her early career, and day by day, she works in the site support of the HS2 C2/C3 Contractor by undertaking the queries received from the Contractor. She is now an ICE President Future Leader. She aims to contribute with solutions that support the UN Sustainable Development Goals alongside President Keith Howells and the other Future Leaders.

Statement:

I am passionate about my career in construction, not just as a profession but as a means to create meaningful change in the world. I have seen the field evolve, becoming more inclusive and diverse throughout my career. I believe that diversity in construction leads to different perspectives and experiences to the table.
