Talia Weiss is a conservator and the marketing officer for DBR Ltd. She joined DBR in 2022, where she started as a freelance conservator at Farnborough Abbey. She has since worked as a conservator on the mosaic conservation at the Victoria and Albert Museum and doing mosaic conservation at the Broadwater Farm Estate peace memorial, as well as handling client intelligence, all DBR marketing and online activity and more! Prior to joining DBR, Talia received two Masters degrees from University College London; the first, an MA in Managing Heritage Sites and an MSc in Conservation.

Statement:

"Though construction is a male-dominated field, conservation – especially practical, site conservation - has shown me a practice that has been predominantly led by women. I feel a lot of pride being a woman on the tools on sites full of men and constantly feel empowered to prove that we are leading this field. It is important to continue to bolster and foster the relationship of woman and construction to keep the road paved for the future, until it is standard to have women on site, and not a statistic."
