Tom is Senior Design Manager for Bowmer + Kirkland’s Western region, based in Bristol. Tom is a qualified architect, completing Certified Passivhaus Designer training in 2017 and Passivhaus Contractor training in 2021.

Tom’s work at Bowmer + Kirkland spans multiple sectors, including schools, public sector frameworks and student accommodation, most recently taking two Higher-Risk Building projects through the Gateway 2 submission process with the Building Safety Regulator.
During his time at Hawkins\Brown Architects, Tom worked on Agar Grove, the largest new-build Passivhaus residential development in the UK at the time. In 2023 he completed as MSc in Façade Engineering, with a dissertation that investigated whether volumetric steel framed buildings could achieve Passivhaus levels of thermal bridging.
