Tom leads National Grid's work to influence the Government's planning reform agenda, including on national planning policy and initiatives'for improvements through'legislation'and the planning'process which will support the large portfolio of electricity transmission projects needed to decarbonise the Grid and to support economic growth across England and Wales. He is a chartered town planner specialising in infrastructure planning, having previously worked in the Department for Transport , the Greater London Authority and in planning consultancy.
