Tim Chell is Health Sector and Regional Director Bam UK& Ireland, leading BAM Construction’s Western business and playing a key role in the company’s Healthcare sector, one of its core areas of expertise.

Under Tim’s leadership, BAM continues to strengthen its position as a trusted delivery partner in healthcare — a sector where the company has decades of experience designing and building complex, patient-focused environments. From major hospitals to specialist facilities and mental health units, BAM is recognised for delivering high-quality, sustainable healthcare infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of patients, staff, and communities.

With over three decades of experience in the construction industry, Tim now heads a team of 185 employees, oversees a supply chain of around 1,000 partners, and manages operations with an annual turnover exceeding £100 million.

Tim began his career as an engineer in the late 1980s, following his studies in Pembrokeshire, and spent three formative years working in the United States. He joined BAM in 2004, initially leading the construction of four schools for Bristol City Council. By 2006, he had been appointed Construction Director, taking on the leadership of BAM’s Cardiff office.
