Tom Branton is an experienced development and placemaking professional with a career spanning both the public and private sectors. He has helped shape a number of landmark regeneration projects in London and internationally, combining commercial insight with a deep understanding of how places come to life. Tom is experienced at senior levels in both the private and public sectors as well as in Non-Executive Board Director roles in development and affordable housing.

Tom has played a leading role in significant culture-led developments across London, including the Bridge Theatre at One Tower Bridge, Brixton House Theatre, and the wider regeneration of central Brixton, Waterloo and Vauxhall during his tenure as Director of Regeneration & Housing at the London Borough of Lambeth. Earlier in his career, he worked on the transformation of Elephant Park in Elephant and Castle, one of the capital’s most significant urban renewal schemes. Tom also spent two years in Kuala Lumpur with Lendlease, where he led the 2.5m sqft residential component of TRX - a joint venture with the Malaysian government to create a new financial district at the heart of the city.

As Development Director at ECDC, Tom oversees the cultural and placemaking strategy for the 44-acre masterplan, ensuring it evolves into a dynamic new district for London. He is a member of the Hammersmith & Fulham Cultural Compact, chairs the borough’s Destination Management Partnership, is an NLA Expert Panel Member and serves on the judging panel for the Earls Court International Film Festival.
