Vasilis Maroulas is an Associate Director specialising in the retrofit and decarbonisation of complex and heritage buildings, with over 20 years’ experience in sustainable building services engineering. Based in London, he leads multidisciplinary strategies that balance conservation, technical performance, and long-term asset value.

He has delivered key retrofit and transformation projects across the UK’s cultural and civic sector, including the V&A East Storehouse, the new London Museum at Smithfield, the Royal Academy of Arts, and Lambeth Palace. His expertise spans low-carbon system integration, fabric-first interventions, and estate-wide decarbonisation pathways within highly constrained environments.

Vasilis focuses on practical Net Zero delivery—bridging strategy and engineering to enable scalable retrofit solutions. He actively contributes to industry dialogue sharing insights on heritage retrofit, climate resilience, and whole-life carbon.
